Aik Saath

Across the canvas, our friendship unfurls, a scroll painting connecting far-flung worlds. Even with cities between us, art proves a trusty compass; it guides, it connects, it humbly unites us.

During the pandemic, when the world felt heavy and lonely , my friend good friend and batch mate Hafsa Riaz in Lahore and I in Karachi decided to connect through art. We created a 14-foot scroll and a feelings diary, where each of us had two weeks to pour our emotions into drawings and words before shipping it to the other. Every delivery was like unwrapping a surprise—a continuation of the story we were telling together, one visual at a time. It became a joyful cycle of anticipation, creativity, and connection, reminding us that even in the darkest times, collaboration could bring light and inspiration.
